Since I did this last year, I going to start a thread with tons of pics of my trucks as I make my way through summer and the parade and show season. Fell free to add in your pics or just follow along for the ride.

And my favorite time of the year! Time to take the top off the M715. It will usually stay top less all the way until the fall.

Thanks guys! Since I'm not doing any types of a rebuild/restoration right now, this means I have plenty of time to enjoy the current motorpool I have. So that means you guys get plenty of pics as I use them throughout the year.

Well you need to get a M151 to restore and add to your fleet...just sayin....LOL. Great pics Dave. Sadly my M37B3 project is still in a million and one pieces in the garage. Someday maybe I'll get time and money to play nice together.

We ran another successful Memorial Day parade here in Hart Michigan. The weather held out and we had a beautiful morning although the threat of rain seamed to kill the amount of parade watchers. All in all it is more about transporting the veterans than anything else. And we had a nice ceremony at the cemetery.

We had a nice local parade here this past weekend and I always take the trucks down for it to help give the guys from the VFW rides. I could only muster up drivers for four of mine so I left the M37 at home since my buddy Jim was bringing his M37 for the parade. Had some absolutely beautiful weather for the whole day!

4th of July brought the big parade in Ludington, MI. This parade is so big that people start marking out their seats along the parade route about 3 days before hand. I pulled the float for my daughters dance school and team. With a big sound system going in the rear of the M715, the girls danced their way through the whole 3 miles of parade route.

Always a great time and the people just love the M715 when we roll through. We always get a lot of shouts and thumbs up.

Next up we have a show next weekend and I was getting Huey, Dewey, and Louie all dressed up and ready to stand guard at the show. They do a good job of keeping an eye on the crowds.

Well the show from this past Saturday was cancelled due to major rain storms, but during a calm point, I got the ambulance out and took a few pics with Nurse Betty.

I took both the M715 and M725 into the local car show here in Hart Michigan this past weekend and set up with my buddy Jim and his M37. It's so fun to set up and interact with the crowds.

Nurse Betty made her first show and people enjoyed seeing her with the Ambulance.

I won both 1st and 2nd place with the trucks in their categories. All in all it was a great show and a chance to talk with people about these cool old military trucks.

Last night was one of my favorite area car shows at a local golf course which is right around the block from my house. Unfortunately I had a school fund raiser I had to attend as well, but was able to run 3 of the trucks down and set them up for display. It's always a fun night when you get to drive an Army truck across a golf course.

No awards are given, as it's more a fun, local cruise in type of show but everyone loves to check out the military trucks when I bring them.

Just one minor thing Dave. As a retired LTC I have to correct you on Nurse Betty's rank and branch insignia on her uniform. Officer rank and branch are parallel with the bottom of the collar. Enlisted ranks are on the diagonal from the point as you have hers. The center line of the branch insignia should be in line with the center line of the rank insignia. They should also be 1 inch up from the bottom of the collar.

Sorry but having been the training officer for OCS and BOC for several years this is one of those things I notice in my sleep..lol!

Thanks for the tip, I will get Betty squared away as soon as I get home tonight! Looking at pics online it can be hard to sometimes tell which way they were pointing and I couldn't find an on-line guide to placement. Thanks!

Another weekend and another parade. This time was the Homecoming Parade in Pent-Water Michigan. I had a few things going on and only had time to bring the M715 for the parade, but with the other vehicles in the parade there was plenty of room for the local vets to have a ride. There is always a large crowd and it's great to be able to drive the veterans.

My co-pilot for the day was Ed who is a Vietnam Vet who drove M715's along with deuces and 5 tons in a Trans Company. He was even laughing about the cracks along the top of the door (where all M715's crack) and how they use to braze them with coat hangers in the motorpool.

Thanks, it can be quite tiring at times to keep up with maintenance on the whole fleet, but is worth it when we roll them into a parade or display. If you are ever going to put markings on your M715, check out my decal page, http://www.deltateamdecals.com/home.html Decal sets for the M715 have been my specialty for years and quite a few members here have gotten their markings from me.

Take the railroad tracks (Captains Bars and) rotate them 90 degs. to the right so that the bars are parallel with the bottom of the the collar. Rotate the caduceus (branch insignia which BTW should have an N in the middle of it for Nurse Nurses Corps Insignia) 90 degs to the left so it points to the railroad tracks.

This is a picture of 2LT rank without out the branch insignia but just replace rank on the left hand side with the branch and you get the idea.

A cruise out to our favorite spot last evening in the M725. Ton of questions from passer by's in the parking lot. It's always fun to talk about these old trucks.

Well with the summer weather starting to wind down, These might be the last of the top-less sunset cruises for the season. It's always sad when the top has to go back on.

Well I used the last of the decent weather to prep the M715, M725 and M38a1 for their winters nap. We have had some early snow here and they have already salted the roads, so my trucks will stay off the roads until the spring rains clean them.

At some point I will usually back the trucks out into the snow to let them warm up once a month to keep the fluids moving, so I'm sure there will be some more pics to post before the year ends.
