While looking at Brians pictures on the BS board, I notice that his hood locating pin is on the drivers side. Mine is on the passenger side. Somebody posted a bunch of pictures and text a while back about putting lights in those recesses because his has no locating pins. What is the stock set up? Do they matter at all?

I still have a hood locating pin. If you look at a civilian FSJ, you will see all sorts of hood latch hardware. That is where I put the engine bay lights. Someone else will have to clue you in to the stock setup, as I have a J truck header panel on mine. (to fit the civilian radiator which fits the AMC360)

Ill check on mine and post it tonight.

Swapping in M715 axles
I get that means that Brian probably took his off and put it back on the wrong side. Thanks for the information.

Man, you could have just asked me.
I went to Memphis Equipment and got a 2nd one. When I replaced my hood, the hood came with the civvy latching stuff and it was made for 2 pins. I got the 2nd one just to make it all work right, even though there was no need for it, nor any advantage. I just wanted it evened up.
The hood never vibrated or shook or anything like that- I just added it.
Stock is 1 post on the passenger side. No inner hood latch.
Riddle me this- if you have a custom tailgate then why do you still want my old non-stock one? Not to 2nd guess you, but if you have a decent one then you're not gonna want this one. I promised it, so it's yours anyhow- I was just curious.
