front lock out hubs
I just got them tonight and they look awesome and Im dieing to get them on but I have to finish putting in the cam first and get that part done.the cam and lifters, roller rockers and set them, put the valve coves on if it all goes good, timing chain and cover and fuel pump are in and tomorrow night after work, the intake, dist and wires, carb, radiator, and both alternators and waterpump and its done.
wasnt there something about the studs getting your hand as you turned then?
A big THANKS to Big Wheel Bob:applause:

It is nice to change the studs to bolts...
One thing we could do is put them on at the FE...like a clinic...though now it seems most there would know how...
Are you towing on a trailer or flat? If flat, you want them on before ya leave home for sure!

im flat towing it behind the one ton which will make for a long bumpy haul. without weight on back it rides rough and I havent had time to look for another flatbed or utiity bed yet. im even runnin the idea of one of my 715 beds on back for weight if the tires will clear. ill keep you all updated on cam swap and hub install. it should have quit a bit more umpwith the new cam and intake but the altitude may take that away? I wished my video cam wasnt stolen, Id take and make a video on the install of the lockouts.

Pull the studs Dave. Run a tap through the threads and then bolt the lock outs on with some sealant. Your knuckles will thank you later.

I agree completely...the other alternative is to make one of these that Gimpy, I think it was Gimpy, had at the 2006 National FE:

Hey, I never saw that contraption. That is kind of neat.
-
Nah, that was Drivinkaiser.

Thanks for the correction.
It did work really well, gave impressive leverage...

Getting the studs out with vice grips was a PITA, but I welded the nuts to the ends of the studs and pulled them out that way. New bolts and the setup is sweet!
It'll save your knuckles, and save you from having yet another tool to pack! (Though that tool looks pretty cool! I missed that one too.)

And I was only there 2 days...
