turning brake drums

I need to turn my brake drums. No one local can do this because they don't have the addapters. I have read somr where that you can remove the hub and use this to mock the brake drum up in the lathe. My question is do you have to remove a front and rear hub or will the rear hub work for both front and rear drums?

It is best to remove the hub and the drum that rides at the same location and have them turned together...thus all 4 drums are attached to their respective hubs. It is also recommened in the manual to make sure to mark the drum alignment to the hub and keep it that way...dont take off the drum and turn it to a different position on the hub and reinstall...mark it so that you can keep it as it is now.

Thanks for the info I turned the rear today, with the hubs. I now have good or lets say better brakes with a nice firm pedal at about half the pedal stroke. Much better than before because I had to pump brakes one time before the pedal felt close to how it does now. I don't like to drive with marginal brakes my trucks front bumper is 42 inches off the ground. Thanks again. Alex
