DP's trailer is really nice. I was drooling over it at the FE.
Mine is a 18' x 7' flat bed car hauler. I have the 5 lug 5,000 pound axles under it. You can see how a stock winch truck takes up the entire 18".

I pull my trucks on a 7000# trailer. It barely gets the job done. If you only tow once in a while a bumper-pull trailer would work well. But get a 8-10k rated trailer. If you plan to pull long distances or quite often, I would go with a gooseneck. That is what I am getting next.

Now you tell me. Too bad I bought my trailer about 5 years before I ever heard of a m715.
Also, get a 20 ft trailer at least. Makes it much easier to tie the m715 down securely.

Mine is a 12,000lb gross 20' long (18' + 2' dovetail). 2-5/16" ball. XLs on stock axles fit perfectly between the fenders, with maybe a half inch to spare on each side. Brakes on both axles. I bought it new and it cost me $3845, including tax and licensing, out the door.
I absolutely LOVE that thing.....

Me and my brother use a 16' 10,000 lb. trailer. The place I work for has a 25' gooseneck, which is nice. Personally, if you plan on using the trailer for hauling, a gooseneck pulls better, and distirbutes the weight better. Just my .02
