I guess the bed bows are the arched horizontal wooden pieces, adn the corners ar the steel dudes aht connect the uprights to the bows. By "strap", do you mean the little steel plates taht set the height of the uprights, keeping them from sliding too far into the troop seat uprights?
My corners (steel dudes) have a hole in the center of each one. Attached there is a bracket that has a strap about 1 foot long. It is made from the same material as the pioneer straps. Even has the same metal tip as the pioneer straps. Definitely stock. Perhaps PowerWagon stock. To confuse more. One of the straps I do have is leather. Indicating it is older than the canvase ones. Perhaps a WWII bow corner. I doubt the bow corner designs have changed much over the years.

The bow are not cut down yet and do not have the stops mounted. That is why they are different heights.
The STOCK M715 setup is shown below. It does not show what you are asking about. The #16 strap in the 2nd diagram is for stowage of the bows when not on the truck. You must have a non M715 setup if these are part of it...at least as far as the manuals can be trusted.

Not sure what year the online manual is for, but I have noticed a lot of little things that are differant on my 1969, Engine and Body wise.
Man, I've never seen such a setup. Sorry I can't do any more than sit here and scratch my head...
