Seat covers
Post by hetzer on May 19, 2006, 8:12pm
Will the M35 seat covers work on our seats as well?
I looked at Saturns' website and the passenger seat cover looks like what was on mine. Grommets and laces. Their pic of the drivers side doesn't show well enough.
Trying to get my seats covered quickly.

Way different...Afraid it would be a waste of your time and money.

Thanks for the input.
May have to wait and get them. Lead time looks like it may be awhile.

Yes, New Life makes them. They'll sell you just the tops. In fact, they're going to make me a custom set (top and bottom) to fit a narrow seat I'm building for the middle (where the battery box used to go). I gave Judith the dimensions and she's making a set for whatever the price of the standard seat cover was.
I also ordered the top with the zip-up back. She's going to put a "blackout flap" over the rear window too (to close it off at night so I don't get headlight glare reflecting off the windshield). They're very accommodating at New Life! Hope the product is as good as the service.

I don't think you'll be disappointed. I got a huge tear in my soft top several years ago. I stored it since the truck wasn't running. I checked with sail shops and upholstery shops and got quotes in the $250.00 range to repair my top. I figured I could replace it for that. I emailed New Life (who made the top to begin with) and they said that if it was repairable (mostly if the canvas wasn't old and rotten--I checked-it isn't) that it would be under $100.00 to repair it. I will send it off soon and let y'all know how it comes out.
