Braden winch question
I had a little project planned for work tonight, but I forgot to get the necessary measurement when I left- can someone help out? Not sure if they all have it, but my truck has a piece of angle (now bent in half with a torn bolt hole) as a sort of backstop on top of the winch. All I need is the distance between the centers of the holes and the bolt-size. Thanks!

Wish I had a winch....again...

You should have two of them, one on the back nearest the readiator and one almost in the middle. The -34p shows them. Both are the same. I just picked up the angle iron today to replace one missing on mine. Material thickness is 1/8 inch and is 1 1/4 x 1 1/4 inch angle.

Thanks, I saw the other 2 bolts forward of what was there and figured there was something missing. I'm working on doing something different up there and wanted to get started. Any idea what the pieces are there for? I assumed the one that was there was supposed to stop the chain/hook from pulling into the front of the truck.

It will take alot more than that little piece of steel to stop that winch! I think its to help keep the ends from binding on the rotating drum during a hard pull.

I was a busy boy with the truck lately at work, of course there isn't much to do now that nobody's buying any fishing lures right about now.......
Did a few odds and ends including the winch angle I was missing.

Inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter, 1/8 thick. Its nice to get a few projects done now that it's 10 degrees outside.
