wow that's more than I thought it would cost. Is there somewhere I can read what all those symbols mean? ha. Other than Dana 60 and 70 I don't know what that says.
Thanks,
Mike

Mine were purchased from Reider Racing in '96 for... about.. $609 bucks, that's for the R/P, install kits, and the new bearings. I don't know how much that's changed since then, I'd guess a bit, but probably not $300 worht LOL.. here's the breakdown:
4.56 rp D60--------189.98
4.56 rp D70--------198.95 PLUS INSTALLATION, TAX, SHIPPING.
install kit D60------60.00
install kit D70------70.00
FYI if by some miracle you got tall enough gears in the axles to make first useful on the street, you won't have enough power to use 2,3, and 4. These trucks have a "granny" first, it's extra low. Same thing w/SM465's out of Chevy's. I got to about 15mph, redlined in 1st. Just use 2nd and be glad they even gave you THAT many gears LOL.. enjoy.

For those of you that have 4.56 gears, did you put em in yourself, know a friend that can do them, or pay a mechanic? If mechanic, what did it cost ya, hours of labor? Just curious.
Mike
I know someone in NJ who sets gears for $150 per axle. He's really good.
Mike: you CAN do it yourself if you want to take the time to learn how... backlash is critical if you want them to live. I'd take it to a shop if it was me.
