Hey gang, brand new to the forum. Just bought today a 1968 M715. Best I have seen. No rust, bone stock and it’s all there.
Want to put a cummins 4bt in it.
Looking for advise from those that have done this.
1) electrical, converting from 24v to 12v; best ways to do that.
2) recommended axles
3) do’s and don’t, things to do, look out for converting to the 4bt.
Any advice you wish to drop on me is greatly appreciated.

Welcome! I know Mikel has a 4bt and 6bt truck and is usually great with pics so search for his threads. The 12 volt conversion might just be bulbs if you are already doing the alternator and starter...There is a good axle sticky at the top of modified and in some of the build threads...And ask away...
From what I can see under the hood, you have the early style turn signals with the large distribution box. Those boxes dont convert to 12 volt unless you are good at electronics and can redo the relays inside there...we have a page on that:

You also can convert the system to the newer style military turn signals setup, solid state type. This is documented on the following linked page:

With either of these changes, the turn signal/lighting system will work on 12 volts as long as you also change the bulbs to 12 volt...the GE part numbers can be converted from 6 to 12 to 24 volt with this chart:

If you want to mount the blackout light on the hood, you would need to convert it to 12 volt...we have a page on that too:
