You could make it work but if you didn't swap out the rear axle as well you would end up with different bolt patterns on your rims.
I have a d-60 from an 87 f350 in mine. The spring center to center is exactly the same. Just spring over instead of under.
Is the Ford Dana 60 easier to swap in than a GM 60? I'm talking about the spring pad width. I have a GM 60 and have measured it but haven't gotten close to a Ford 60 yet.
