That box is a relay box that controls the turn signals. It is used in the early style trucks. Later trucks used an electronic "box". I converted my 1969 truck back to the early turn signal type (because the electronic stuff was kaput and I like the original stuff).

    Fin,

I would try and call Fort Sill fire department . I did this this with mine (came out of Oklahoma too) and the mechanic at the department and I talked for two hours about his old M715.

Thanks for the information. It's not easy to call the phone to the other side of the globe... Especially when you do not know who to call or where to call. Maybe even that moment will come someday
is this also relay box for turn signals? This was installed the car.

That is your turn signal control "box". It has to be used with the electronic turn signal lever on the steering column. I had to change my column switch to match the relay box used on the earlier model trucks. Either one is appropriate as long as they are in working condition.

You can also check by sanding on the lower rear of the tailgate as sometimes they were added there instead of the bumperettes.

194th Armored Brigade and 522nd Engineer Company were both at Ft Knox when I was there in 1982. My company was right next to the 522nd in the Motor Pool.

No M715's by then of course. The unit data ties in though.

How do I know if I need a voltage regulator? Can I see the markings of the car charger? Now i start painting the hood. Really handy a small painting spary. Lockers easier to paint.

Something new again. I found a new (50 year old) carburetor in Greece. Is the carburetor pre-adjusted? Do you have any information?

Yesterday I started look at glove box. There seems to be markings on the door??? See picture! What markings there have been usually?
