    Angry V8 problems

I recently placed a dodge 440 in my 715. Just today I started it and let it run for 10 min at 2000 rpm for the first time. But while it was running I noticed that the 2 rear cylinders on the passenger side were running a lot hotter (they were cooking the ceramic coating off my headers) so I shut it off. Does anyone have any idea might be going on? Right now I am running open headers, which makes it really hard to hear any strange noises, but I thought I could hear a slight squeal on the passenger side, I was wondering if it weren't just the rocker arms hadn't gotten enough oil yet (even thought I primed the oil several times) or what was going on. So if anyone has any ideas, I would appreciate the input.

Two rear cylinders heating up the exhaust more and a squealing noise, sounds like a vacuum leak at the rear of the intake or rear of the carb mount near the far back runners, leaning out the mixture and causing the exhaust coating to burn off.

Did you rev it a little? The extra gas flow to all the cylinders might cool down the back two.

No, I haven't tried revving it. I didn't know if that would hurt anything because the cam isn't quite broke in yet, but I'll give it a try.

Well I found my problem. My carb gasket wasn't as wide as it needed to be. A vacuum port on the bottom of the carb wasn't being cover causing the leak. As for the squeak, worn out rocker arms, why I didn't replace the when I built the motor?

Would love to see the motor mount setup you used....
