Thread: Progress at last!

Ok, so I'm kinda struggling with making the mounts/crossmembers that support the transmission and transfer case.
It's a ford ZF 5 spd with an ORD low range box and NP205 transfer case.
The trans has a rear mount and the ORD box has a mount plate. Getting around the front t-case output is the challenge.
I've attached pics of what I've done so far but, I'm open to suggestions.

Currently there is a plate between the trans and t-case mounts connecting them. I made a crossmember from 1- 1/4" squate tubing and arched it over the front drive shaft. It is planned to weld this to the plate.
Then I have bent up a second support that will wrap under the front yoke and weld to the bottom of the plate( this is not in the picture) along with a second rear support for the right side.
All frame attachments have poly bushing to allow for some flex.

Have you thought about using a plate mount that goes on the back side of your NP205?

I made a T/C mount that used the PTO port in my NP205.

Why not dip under the front driveshaft?Seems like that would be easier.....I have a PTO mount as well and a mount off or the rear cover....
    Is that real money?

I don't want to interfere with driveshaft drop when the front left tire drops away.
My goal is to make Easter Jeep Rally on 2020.

    I'm really liking this.
Is the plate something you made or purchased?
