Thread: Window Removal

    Default Window Removal

I need to remove both crank up windows. Everything is removed and ready and the manual says remove the pin retaining clip with a screwdriver. Since you can't see the clip, I can't figure out what they mean. Is it a round spring clip on the back of the pin? Just pry it off?

Yes that is it. It is a pain to get back on! Number 30 in the picture.

The picture didn't show up. but just go to the manuals and in the M715 body section look at the window picture, Item 30 is the one.

    Default A Hint

Found out to make the job easier, remove the lower window stop (2 screws) and let the window crank down as low as possible.

    Default The Clips

Are these the proper clips for the window regulator? Part number does not match the manuals nor do they look anything like the ones I took out. I don't put a lot of faith on the ones I removed as many parts in my truck were different.
