    Default Shackle flip or...

I have just bought my first M715. I am used to being able to just go and buy parts and with a little fabrication be able to install them on my previous rig
(06 wrangler X). So that in mind I have a 67 M715 and everything appears to be stock. It came from a Fire Department. First I would like to do a shackle flip on the back and Spring over on the front. Problem is i dont know where to start. Any help would be great. Also if I am starting in the wrong place on mods by all means share. This rig will be a trail rig/ sometimes street rig when I want to scare a few people.

i know that was a mouthful but THANKS A MILLION FOR HELP

A springover is a good idea if you plan on anything more than a 38" tire. 38's will rub slightly at full stuff.

As far as little fabrication that isn't the norm for an M715.

The shackle flip on the rear will also require you to cut the rivets and the pin where it passes through the frame on the rear front spring mount and flip it as well.

The front will require you to weld on new spring perches, then flip the tie rods to the top of the steering arms and retaper the holes. You'll also need to trip the hole in the crossmember to allow the front driveshaft more travel downward.

Of course new shocks, brake hoses etc are the norm too.

Do a quick search and you'll come up with a ton of info on the subject.

Oh and welcome to the madness!
