Will a civilian fuel pump bolt right up in place of the military fuel pump?
I don't need the militray unit to power my wipers (electric) and would like to clean up the apperance.
Thanks.

I'd like to know too. What part and part number should be used?
I don't know what Jeeps part number is, but Auto zone has them for $40 and advanced auto has them for around $60.

The single diaphragm pump, used on some of the civvy 230's IS a direct replacement for the stock military, and some civvy, dual diaphragm unit...and as long as you dont need the vacuum pump for wipers, you are golden!
I have seen this listed in the Mitchell interchange manual and have seen members who have done it.
Thanks!
I wanted to be sure before I dropped the coin for one, and took mine off.

Let us know if the Autozone part works and the part number. Would love to get rid of my electric pump.
Will do. I probably won't pick it up untill sometime next week. I'm trying to make my M715 radiator fit my civi support right now. Even though both trucks had the 230 the M715 uses the newer 232 style support, and the radiator is a bit wider then the civilian one.

This should be the correct part number from AutoZone: 6510
You can go to http://www.Autozone.com enter that number, put in your zip code and you will get a pic of it and the price...says $31.99 on my screen...
Odd. It brings it up (Air Tex brand fuel pump) up for $40.99 for my zip. Guess the parts box stores adjust thier prices for regions.
Funny, there is a $2400 super charger listed on thier site with the same part number.
