Default Shot some primer today. (Pics)

Yesterday, I broke out my blasting pot and fought all day trying to get it to work. I went and bought a different kind but had problems with it too. 3 cleaned filters and one new hose later, I gave up on doing a completely spotless job and left a few light area's of thin remnant paint. Got all the rust though, some was pretty deep too.
Broke out my new 20 dollar paint gun from HF, took the Rapco down to a local paint store and got it "shaken, not stirred" and proceeded to prime my radiator support. Paint will be tomorrow afternoon... hope it turns out as good.

Man, I'm gettin' fat.... hate pics like that.

Hey, notice the new rubber? Got em' broken down for 12.50 ea. but mounted them myself. That's a magic marker sticking out of the LF.

    Looks great!

Check out your sandblaster closely. Where the hose comes out of the bottom of the hopper and curves, there should be a 1/4" hole in the hose right on the outside of the bend. If it isn't there, it won't siphon the sand out very well, if at all. About half of the blasters I've looked at don't have that hole and they won't work right from new. Just drill or punch it and you'll have a perfectly useable blaster.

I learned this the hard way with my old sandblaster that I bought from Lowe's. Looked at a commercial higher end one and found the hole.

Joe, after this one I'm done. I have really taken a few points off the value of the house from all the mess in the garage and the yard. When I get this one done it'll take at least a year to get everything back in shape. A two car attached garage is a poor substitute for a real shop.
But...if you move over to the Ozarks in the next coupla' years...I'll be glad to come visit and help with your project...(read "mess up your house") hahahaha
