    Default Batteries

I need new batteries for my M715. It has interstate batteries from 2001 in it. I could tell they have been pretty weak since I bought the truck a month ago. I figure I might as well bite the bullet and get new batteries so I am not left setting somewhere.

This morning the jeep turned over a few times and that was it.

My question is what Interstate Batteries are you guys using? My brother is a interstate dealer and is willing to give me a deal but he lives 400 miles away, the good thing is I will see him this weekend but I need to let him know what batteries to bring. What do you suggest?

i just use a good heavy duty group 31 battery.
You want something that will sit for a long time. a battery disconnect is also good if you don't drive your truck much. saves the battery (and your radiator from plugging by electrolysis)

Get a solargizer too. I love mine.

Battery disconnect is still a good thing even with the solargizer.

I agree, find a hidden spot and it will act as a theft deterrent.

I use the aircraft style disconnects for the batteries...I have one on the negative to frame post and one on the positive to starter post...you take out the knob and no flow of juice...cheap and nice...keep the knobs in the house or shop and you are good to go when you want to...they look like this:

Still Made. Folllow link. Go to "battery Items"/"disconnect switches"

The only difference is the key on the stock switch rather then a handle to switch it. The key is nice as you can lock the truck
