Thread: hub nut, lock washer, and seal question.

Default hub nut, lock washer, and seal question.

Some new parts showed up today. Went to install the front manual hubs and decided to lube the wheel bearings while I was in there. First side came apart quick but there were no lock washers. No tabs were locking the nut and there was not tang engaging the hub..... Not going to drive until I check all wheels. Also, the inner seal was missing some chunks.

Question, I searched but couldn't find any part numbers for the seal or the lock washers. Any cross out there for napa part numbers?

    thanks,
    Mike

I have this from an old post on the old Yahoo board...

Got some spindle lock nuts for a jeep gladiator. They are too small....

Looks like the truck stays on jackstands for a little longer.

I would think that dana 60 spindle size would be consistant but doesn't appear to be true.

I did some searching and saw a post that said that an early ford F350 had the same spindle. Can anybody confirm this? Same spindle lock nut and washer size?

Your welcome. Main reason I posted was because I spent 20 at Napa and the parts didn't fit and it wasted a week.
