OK...heres all the info I think you need:
First, the wires go on the ignitor/distributor end in a counter clockwise direction.
The firing order on the plugs is 1-5-3-6-2-4.
If you have lost track of which one is number one:
Take out the #1 spark plug and rotate the motor, have someone crank it just a bump at a time or by using a socket on the crank pulley, until the compression in the #1 cylinder blows your finger off the hole.
Look at the timing marks and rotate till the engine is at TDC...you can also stick a straw/screwdriver/pencil/etc. in the #1 plug hole to make sure that the piston is as high up as possible.
Take off the top of the ignitor housing and look where the rotor is pointing.
The corresponding plug wire on the cap that the rotor is pointing to is #1.
Put the #1 plug wire on that tower and connect the rest of the wires in the order of the firing order in a counterclockwise direction.
