I think they all have that dent in the same spot...must have been a factory option...LOL

Hey! How did you get my tailgate?!
Oh wait, that one is a little nicer than mine. The one good thing about that dent is that the chain on the left side always stays put. The right side chain will fall out off road, but the other one has enough pressure on it to keep the tailgate from flopping down and dropping all my junk on the trail.

Actually the dent was an MWO done by the military to do as OC said keep the gate shut!.
LOL GOT YA! Don't know why they have that dent there!...

Take a swazall or cutoff wheel and cut straight up through the center of the dent, apply some heat and pull both sides out straight, put a piece of copper behind it with a piece of steel for strength, clamp it all together and mig weld up the cut. weld wont stick to copper and weld will be flat on the inside. polish off the outside weld and NO DENT !!!!!!!

IT COMES FROM BEING POOR !!!!! and if i couldnt build it or fix it i couldnt have it ! now all those lessons learned from very generous teachers i feel privledged to share with others . you reap what you sow in life. GOD showed me that early in life. i also learnned to keep my mouth shut and ears and eyes open when a teacher is trying to teach you something. then most of all SAY THANKS !!!!!

Looking good Tim, are we gonna shoot it next weekend, I mean paint it. Maybe actually shoot it then paint it. Give it a true military look with a couple extra holes before we painted it. Lol. I 'll keep in touch , but I think I'd be up for this next weekend. Fisherman
