Windshield glass gasket,

Anyone know a pn? Will a cj's rubber gasket fit? I took the frame to a glass company to get the glass removed, but they can't find a pn for the rubber gasket.

Contact Memphis Equipment. they have them. Somewhere around $50-$60, I think.

THAT"S WHAT I THOUGHT TOO BOB, BUT THEY SAID THEY COULDN'T MATCH IT UP. MEMPHIS EQUIPMENT SAID THEY DIDN'T HAVE THEM. THEY STILL HAVE THE COWL GASKET, BUT NOT THE WINDSHIELD. AND OF COURSE THE JEEP DEALER IS NO HELP, HIS 'BOOK' ONLY GOES BACK TO 88. (I'm NOT yelling people, Bob has trouble reading the small print!) THANKS.

The windshield gasket is 1/16". Normal stuff today is usually 1/8". When I had mine done they had no problem finding the gasket. I will try to get a number for you today if you need it.

When I had my glass done 2 years ago. The glass guy used rubber meant for a '73-'87 Chevy truck. It hasn't leaked, the glass is held in good and looks right. I don't know what size it is, but it works.

it comes in a bulk roll. its not a perfect looking match for the stock rubber. its better... it comes as a 2 piece rubber the little semi round rubber strip comes outof the center, you install glass then small round rubber piece goes back in. after install you cant tell the difference. its alot more install friendly to use. thats why they changed it.

Looks like J C W has the windshield rubber in 16ft rolls. I hate/love old trucks!
