Default Brrr! Advise needed on heaters!

I need a little help with heaters. It's about that time of the year.

Looks like I have several options, which would be the best and the easiest to install?

Looks like I will need controls regardless of which way I go.
    Thank you!

The one from Army Surplus Warehouse wont keep the windows clear or the cab warm here even with a hardtop...the first one may be the same heater or similiar...not sure though.

The 3rd one bolts in and the controls can be used from a civvy truck or it can be used with stock type controls.

The army surplus warehouse one is what I used. It may not be adequate for the Northern climes like Brute gets, but it works fine here in the Virginia winters. Keeps the truck plenty warm with the canvas top.

Here is my thread on the subject:

I stuck in a ford truck heater and ductwork... not the best, but keeps the cab warm even with a soft top. For controls, I just the stock ford fan speed switch, and two generic choke/pto/etc control cables, one for temperature and one for off/floor/defrost control.

    You guys are too fancy
I've got a square box heater out of a delivery van tucked as far up under the dash as I could get, it's completely out of the way. To the top I hooked the defrost vents and a little air leaks out the sides. Has a 3 way toggle switch on the dash - low/off/high to run it. I figured that as small as the cab is the defrosters would heat it up quickly enough. Works pretty good here in MI. I might, might, get fancy and put in a dimmer type switch so I can have infinately variable fan speed - nah! lol

Oh yeah, have a shut off valve plumbed into the heater hose for the summer time.

Or just keep it outside the cab........I saw a guy do that once.

Heaters are overrated. I just drove a CJ7 with no heater 1100 miles in temps ranging from 10-40 degrees F. Just wear a coat and long-johns and insulated boots.

You guys really need to toughen up.

here's the one I'm running- fits great centered under the dash and looks almost stock... just squished the hoses and ran 'em up to the defrost vents.

Kwai, some of us just aren't willing to do what the two of you did to stay warm - I'll stick with a heater.
To be honest I never thought a couple of Texans could survive light jacket weather like 10-40deg ABOVE zero lol
