Default clutch fork and throwout bearing?

All righty ten. I'm getting close to putting the engine and transmission for the last time.
I have a small block chevy , a Novak conversion removed from another 715, I rerplaced the original bellhousing that was on the novak converted truck (it was missing dust shield)with a mid 70s chevy truck bellhousing. i bought a new chevy truck throwout bearing, I have cast clutchfork and the stamped steel fork that came with the chevy truck bellhousing.
The new bearing inside diameter is the same as the used one.
The used one is longer( please see pics)
Both forks fit both bearings and the pivot ball.
I like the cast fork . I looks a little sturdier to me.
I hope if I use the new chevy thowout bearing I can adjust the linkage for the difference in length of bearing.
Anybody got any ideas, advice, suggestions or throwout bearing part numbers?
I'd hate to get it all bolted in and have to pull it back out again!
    Thanks for any help

Mid 70's trucks used the stamped steel fork. I would just get a clutch set for a 78 c-30 with a 350 and it should be a matched pressure plate, disc, and t/o bearing.

I checked my V-6 GM TO bearing. It is shorter. you should be able to get new bearing and press it on the collar. It should have a number somewhere.
