Thread: Valve Cover question

  1. #1

    Default Valve Cover question

I'm going to order a NOS valve cover from the italylovers ebay store.
My question is, does the oil filler on the old valve cover simply pull out of it's hole so that I can reuse it?

I don't know if it is supposed to or not but mine did. I plan on putting it back in when I reassemble it.

Do you have a valve cove gasket? They can be hard to find.

    I don't as of yet.
I'm going to break down and buy the complete set of new gaskets and seals.
My Tornado runs really well, but it leaks oil pretty bad.
I might as well tear it down, give it a good looking over, and replace all of the 46 year old seals, gaskets, and freeze plugs.
