The lockout hub problem I'm having was a secondary find to the original problem that I set out to fix. I don't imagine that this happens to anyone but me, so...

I heard what sounded like loose wheel bearings up front one evening, so I carefully took the truck home. When I got the wheel and drum off, I found that it wasn't the bearings at all! The spindle bolts were loose! All of them still locked in place by the tabs that are supposed to hold them, but still loose. I would say they needed anywhere from a quarter turn to more than a full turn to get them torqued. Same on the other side but not as loose. It was a good time to re-pack and adjust the bearings, but still! Has anyone had this happen to them?
