I ordered some spark plugs that were advertised for M715 but I wonder. They are sealed in plastic tubes with a label inside. I don't want to break the seal in case I have to return them. do these look correct?

The proper plug with the old numbering system should be the AER72S which became the 2407 in the new Autolite numbering system. I'm sure there are differences in the heat ranges between the proper plug and the ones you have but I don't know what it would be. The plugs you have appear to have been made in 1968 according to the date code on them.

going by the images I could find of the proper plugs, it looks like the threads are the wrong pitch and too long. I sent them back.
