Working on the doors, painting glass frames and front half windows.
I found that I had some play in my door hinges, however the pins were really not too worn. I discovered that there is a fiber shim that fits in a groove on the side of the hinge body. Each hinge was missing one of these causing side play of the hinge. The original looks like they were made of a type of "Masonite" material. I took a left over piece of snowmobile track slider and ran it through the table saw to the correct dimensions and notched each end, no more side play on the hinge.
Nice!
Thank you. Installed 4 speedi-sleeves on the TC yokes and brake drum, also replaced the seals. Looks like it got hot and petrified the seals then they scored the seal surfaces.
Couple of after work projects today, fill transmission(easier while on the bench)and install electronic ignition and new O ring to distributor body.
Sand blasted and primed the rear bed today, a long day...
Nice bed, good shape.
