    Default Poly Body Mount Bushings

I have found some poly body bushings that work on our M715 applications.

Energy Suspension part number 2-4101G comes with 14 poly bushings, for around $22.97 (Summit Racing). Dimensions are (1.955in O.D. X 0.65in Height X 0.567in I.D.)

    Fender washers from Fastenal (3/8" I.D. x 2" O.D.), $5.61 for 25 washers.

    Bronze bushing from Granger (3/8" I.D. x 1/2" O.D.), part number #12R725 $17.25 for 15 bushings.

Have not found rubber ones. But I think that the poly/urethane should far out last the rubber ones and potentially out preform them as well.

    ***EDIT EDIT EDIT***

I ended up swapping out the 3/8" hardware for 9/16" hardware. It's a perfect fit for the bushings. When you go 9/16" you just have to open the rear holes in the tub about a 1/16".

So here's what I ended up with...

    (2) 9/16" x 6" bolts for the rear
    (2) 9/16" x 3-1/2" bolts for the front
    (16) 9/16" x 2" fender washers
    (4) 9/16" top lock nuts
    (4) 9/16" lock washers
    (10) 9/16" washers

I'll post some pictures but this turned out really well.

Default +1 on the pics request

In the projects where I've swapped bonded black rubber for urethane (like leaf spring eyes), it seems like urethane is about 3x as stiff as the rubber it replaces. I know that the M715/725 frames don't articulate much, but it seems like body mounts are an application where you still might want old fashioned black rubber to provide more cushion between the frame and body??
    Thoughts?

For those with rattly diesels, I found that going with very soft polyurethane makes a big difference in cab drones and overall vibration.

We have .50" thick sheets of 40 durometer neoprene that I might punch some out of.....
