Inquiring why people suggest replacing axles when they are already Dana 60 and 70? Is this so they can get different wheel sets or install disc brakes?

That's why I swapped mine. A few reasons why I did mine... Having the 8x6.5 lug pattern gives you endless wheel options. 4 wheel disc brakes. 4.56 gear ratio with the ability and availability to easily swap gear sets. The ease of sourcing parts if something breaks. It's not cheap by any stretch, but I do do drive a lot of highway at 65mph (318cid with NP205). I did 40 highway miles a day with the stock NP200 for a summer too with no real problems. I kept the axles spring under because I wanted it to stay a reasonable height. Swapping to the SOA will give you an instant 4" lift.
Quick Edit: I put a 14 bolt in rear and Dana 60 up front. Both out of a CUCV
Plus closed knuckle vs. open.
I'm putting CUCV axles in. Mainly for disc brakes.
