I left mine bare thinking more heat transfer will take place without paint clogging the small areas on the outside. But, the OEM's paint radiators black for a reason I suppose.

I am planning to paint my Gasser radiator, and have been thinking about do the aluminum M715 one the next time I have it out. It is just to shiny like it is.

    Much like the SR71....

Painting it black will help it shed heat more...

They make paint specifically for painting radiators.

A thin coat of flat black is supposed to be best for heat transfer .

I bet a radiator shop in town would paint it for you for cheap if you left it with them overnight.
