since the parts page is down anyone know of the napa #'s if any for the shoes and wheel cyl's? or who has them surplus at the best price i saw surplus city has shoes at 100 an axle set, so 200 for thew whole truck but that seems high to me for shoes

Brake shoes are that price...I bought shoes for all four corners and it was $200+ from Memphis and they want your cores as well...and you get charged for them if you dont send your old ones in! And you have to pay shipping on your cores as well when you ship them back and that cost me about $25 - they are heavy! Its an expensive venture...

I bought everything from AB Linn. Shoes were $80 per axle.

In So. Cal, there has to be a good commercial clutch and brake shop somewhere. I am in Nor. Cal. and I went to Capitol Clutch and Brake in Sacramento: http://www.ccbparts.com The relined the shoes, turned the drums and found wheel cylinders and master cylinder at a very reasonable price. I am pretty close to Surplus City and as I recall they were about half the price. Look around for a supplier for commercial trucks and they will be able to help.

Yup. Get em relined locally. You'll be ahead in money and it's much less headache.
