Thread: What bellhousing?

If you are using a hydraulic clutch setup with a chevy bellhousing Novak makes a pretty sweet setup that bolts to the outside of the bellhousing to hold the slave cylinder. Does away with the internal design. You could also find parts off of a mid 80's chevy, they used a hydraulic setup with external slave on the drivers side. My 86 dually 4x4 is that way. I put a nv4500 in it to replace the sm465 4 speed and used AA stuff. Bellhousing, clutch, slave bracket etc.

I don't believe that the 6.2 and 6.5 differ where the bellhousing mounts...

Since you don't haver the front axle yet, I was gonna suggest going with a Ford D60--But then you allready have the GM divorced 205 so nevermind. Are you certain there is no adjustment left in the clutch? Seems like maybe a modification to your existing set up should be doable--but then I'm not there looking at it either. just a thought.

Yep, the 205 setup with e-btake is sweet so I need a passenger drop Dana 60. Sad part is I have a Dodge 60 that is in great condition. They are just a little too narrow, fom everything I have read, to work on the M715.

We climbed under it last night and the answer is "maybe", may also have to make up a new/longer rod. Obviously I would prefer not to have to spend the $$ and time to replace what I have. Replacing the Lakewood was based on Tom's input/comments when I bought the truck from him. Going to dig a little deeper on this to make sure I really need to make the swap.
