Thread: For the want of a clip?

Default For the want of a clip?

Am mounting the accelerator cable, but am missing the clip that holds the cab side of the cable flush with the firewall. Is this an off-the-shelf item, I've never seen anything like it. Can I use a C-clip in it's place? Or do I have to order from Memphis again?

Order the clip. Mine was missing and I tried about 5 different "replacements" that looked like they would work. Non did for more than a week or so.

The only option I didn't try, but think would work great is this. Remove the cable, figure out the OD of the end where the clip goes, run a die over it to put threads on the outside, get a nut that will screw on and then just bolt the thing down.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.
