PTO Lever
Post by rpgdeity on Nov 11, 2006, 12:39am I am installing the stock PTO gearbox in the '715. Been looking through the manuals regarding how the shift linkage works. It is pages 314/315 in the Parts Manual. I think I am going to try and fab my own shift linkage and lever, but kinda stick to the stock setup. I have a couple of questions: 1.) Does anybody have a picture or measurements of approximately where the stock shift handle comes through the floor? 2.) Anybody have pics, or can explain how the stock "clamp lock" (Item #13 on page 314) on the shift lever works? 3.) Has anybody done something different than stock for a shift linkage? Any good ideas? Thank you. |

Post by barrman on Nov 12, 2006, 2:19pm If you look to the right of the drivers seat you will see a flat spot on the tunnel. That is the cut out blank for the pto shift lever. I have Pistolnut's 715 in my class on a lift right now. My students just the other day removed the PTO. The shifter is still attached though. I will try and get pictures sometime this week if nobody else offers some up sooner. |

Re: PTO Lever
Post by rpgdeity on Nov 19, 2006, 3:21pm Thank you for the pics. I now know that I can't make it like stock, as the area where the battery box and pto shifter is was cut and then flattened by a previous fire dept. I'll just have to come up with something creative and move the shifter somewhere else. Thank you though. |
