Thread: what kind of beating can these take?

hey all, i was just curious, what sort of beating can the 715 take? i take mine off road quite a bit and get a little rowdy. ive been known to get quite a bit of air off jumps and such (a few feet at least), and i constantly pull doughnuts and speed through mud holes, water, ect...

is this behavior exceptable for this truck? or should i tone it down a bit? i have no idea what these trucks are really designed to be able to do.

    thanks

they're pretty tough but I wouldn't be surprised if you busted a knuckle... the truck knuckle that is.

Beat it...but don't jump it. That will get expensive QUICK. They'll take a pretty good beating...but they won't take a pretty good landing.

hey, i go play almost every day (when its working anyway) you should see the layers of mud on it... as well as salt. i got a layer of mud, salt, mud, salt, etc... i think i need to give it a bath real soon... now that the weather is getting warm i have no excuse to procrastinate.

so no more jumps...darn. oh well. expensive things suck.

yeah, and i already busted a few knuckles...on my hand it sucked really bad. thank god for power steeing now though.

oh yeah, and Tacoma... Where's my cookies!?

YEAH...I got that same busted knuckle manual steering wheel whip too! If you can afford the ground clearance, you could truss the front axle. Then work real hard to break one of those other knuckles!

Well, I didn't bust a knuclke, I guess I held on too tight. When my wheel-whipped, it drov emy right elbow into the battery box. Crunchy feeling to it (elbow) to this day. Bummer.
