Default This is what 'Disaster Averted' looks like

At the end of a VERY long story, I had the heater out, was able to use the access panel someone had left in the firewall, decided to take a look at the rear oil line for no real good reason other than it was a good time to do it.
Boy am I glad I did! Rubber hose out, steel line in! Upped my oil pressure about 5#, too.

The exact reason I substituted hardline with Swagelok compression fittings on mine.

I was so sure this hose wasn't leaking, that I wrote off being able to see the inside threads as just something that was stuck underneath the wire wrap. Until I got it off, anyway. What an 'oh crap' moment that was.

Somebody did that on my truck in its fire fighting days, and left me a big hole in the firewall to weld up.
