Default Vacuum Fitting behind thermostat housing

Finally got this guy running... kinda. Running it off a gravity fed tank and trying to get it to pick up fuel from the tank. Anyways, found this port just sucking air. Im guessing it was part of the windshield wiper system? I have a civilian prestolite distributor with vacuum advance that is not being utilized. Could I use this for the vacuum advance on the distributor?

    Edit :

Scratch using it for vacuum advance, read on another post that vacuum advance source would need to be above the carb plate. Cap it off?
Im running a civilian fuel pump as well, most everything was either hanging or missing when i started, im trying to cobble it back together.

The vacuum for the wipers comes from the top of the fuel pump assembly, which is actually a vacuum pump, distributor vacuum is usually taken from a port on the base of the carburetor where it varies with throttle, if you pull vacuum from a steady source the advance won't work correctly.

Also see this in the sticky.

    Vacuum Advance

That port was originally a "T"/elbow fitting, the small port was for a line that went to the distributor vent line and the larger port was for a line that went to the top of the fuel pump assembly marked "MAN". If you need wiper vacuum you could use that port or just plug it off.
