    Default transmission question

Hello everyone, its been long time since if posted anything on here and with all this free time I've gotten back to working on my truck. Truck I have came with a 318poly with a NP435 transmission. It is bolted onto the bell housing with the 4 bolt, but nothing supporting the rear. This is the way i got it, but not crazy about leaving it like that. I've bolted a plate onto the back using existing holes and was going to make up some sort of bracket mounting it with some rubber to the cross member. Does anyone see a problem with this? Thanks in advance.

No you don't need a rear transmission mount. Your engine should have a mount at the very front and then your two bellhousing mounts. Standard big rig or old school truck mounting. I've heard guys who add an additional mount at the back of the transmission have issues with the powertrain being mounted too rigidly and not allowing things to flex and move like they were designed too.
