Thread: Wiper motor

    Default Motor Differences

The M715 motor uses a 3/16" spacer on the inside of the window frame. The shaft is 1-7/16". The M151 motor has a 2-1/4" shaft so needs a 13/16" spacer inside of the window frame to keep the outside shaft projection the same. Other then that, they are the identical. M151 motor is the one on the bottom.

    Default Took Mine Apart

Well, as another member mentioned, "take it apart and clean it". Mine were clogged with debris. So, will probably put the originals back if they test OK. Don't know how to test them now without the engine running, as the truck is apart now, so will see after we get back together.

Maybe a vacuum cleaner or wet-vac?

To add to my above post!

If you have a shop vac with a connection for discharge (blowing) and another standard vac you can connect them in series (one sucking on the discharge of the other) you should get about 12hg (inches of mercury).

If you have any other running cars around, a short length of vacuum hose and a "borrowed" vacuum port for a few seconds should do the trick.

You can use air from your comprossor , turn down the output pressure, and use an air gun , You be able to tell if they work , seems they work either way sucking or blowing.
