How well does the M715 turn? radius? Left or Right tighter like the M38 or willys? Got good heaters and defrost?Looks like the brakes are the biggest consern from what I've seen! What Master cylinder is the best for conversion. I'll stop there.
    For now. Vrod

Most M715's came from the factory with no heater or defrosters installed. The easiest is to pull a heater out of a civilian Fullsize Jeep and put it in. It will mostly bolt right up and works great.

Turning radius is 56' in the manual...I have taken mine out on the frozen lake with several inches of undisturbed snow...stopped...cut the steering hard to one side...low gear idled a complete circle and measured it at 56 feet...so that should be the diameter not the radius right?

I have never measured left versus right...dont notice the difference in the seat...

If you go with a converter from 24 to 12 volts rated like 20 amps or better OR a 12 volt conversion, the civvy heaters work.
You can get the full heater setup in 24 volt, NOS, from VPW...runs around $400 for everything...includes all wires, ducts, heater core, cables, fan and switch, defroster dusts, etc....pricey but nice for 24 volt setups. I had a civvy heater I ran with a converter, I now have the NOS 24 volt one. The 24 volt one has a 2 speed fan and high on that is much higher than the high on the 3 speed civvy fan I had before.

Same as stock location on a FSJ, under dash passenger side, passenger side engine compartment thru firewall. I haven't installed mine yet, had it mocked up once. Fisherman

Do they have vents in the dash for defrost? Where were original on/off fan controls located?

cable controlled knobs on left side of steering wheel iirc. There are defrost holes in the dash - if you're missing the plastic vent pieces, ABLinn, VPW, or Memphis might have them.

If you look on the bottom edge of the drivers side of the dash panel, you will see the 3 holes where the 3 cables come through to run the doors for heat, defrost and fresh air selection....just above the location of these, on the flat part of the panel is where the directions say to mount the fan switch.
