Don't have a pic right now but the last I bought used from ABLinn at about 15 bucks a piece. No mods really but the new lights have a spot for a left side blackout stoplight.

the ugly truck i bought off ebay had one lens that was all red, not like the stock ones on my other truck. the housings are the same. maybe something else uses the all red lens. there is one on ebay, under m715, [parts] it is in a lot of lights and a horn. can't remember the name.

    Lee,

You know by now that some folks just can't drive and no matter how big of lights you get they're still gonna try to drive under you.

I pondered a center light in the middle of my tailgate. Then I just put on a bigger bumper and forgot about it all.

    How was your frame?

The first light that dave posted is from a Gamma Goat. So they are out there, but not in quantity. The other ones are the front composites with the black out marker built in. This link.. http://saturnsurplus.com/lights/gentail.htm
is of the rear composite. They don't hang down under truck but maybe a 1/2 inch.

No, but they do hang back quite a ways, 'bout as much as stock. Only the stock ones are cast aluminum and the composites are just that - composite (plastic). I've seen the stockers hold a wheel in the air when hung on a rock where I've waxed my composites a few times on little dirt clods.

Something to think about if anyone wheels their truck a lot. Maybe mount them higher or recess them somehow.

Since I am always a bit "off" regarding how I do things I am planning on making a serious satb at converting my OEM M-715 taillights to LED...it would have to be better than OEM and mybe bright enough to allow me to retain the original look and still feel like I am safely navigating the nations hyw's....that said I have no idea if this is possible...and it's FAR down my list of things to do..lol
