Thread: Exhaust Pipe Bracket

  1. #1

    Default Exhaust Pipe Bracket

I want to put my exhaust back to stock. Now, it is a hodge podge of military and welded up pieces. On page 60 of the '20 manual and page 92 of the '34P there is a bracket. Part #21 in the '34P. I can not find where this bolts up under the truck Looks like on top of the cross member just behind the first flange but I can find no holes!

The rear rivet of the bed mount in front of the axle is actually a bolt. That is where the hanger goes. The hanger in front of that which uses the little cable is bolted to the crossmember.
Remember if you didn't build it you can't call it yours.

Poorly detailed in the manuals....look at figure 5 of the -34P manual:

Bolt #12 goes up through the outer hole of the mount...mounted on top, not shown, is the bracket you are looking for...thats the whole reason that bolt is there...it really doesnt hook to anything else or have another reason to be needed.

The bracket goes on top, overhanging the front, pointing to the passenger side frame rail...it is a bit of a bear to get on in the truck.

    Default I'll take another look

OK, it may already be there. Never looked at the mount. Yes, the manual is not clear on where it goes. Thanks!
