    Default Flywheel and Clutch

Ok so I finally take my starter off and find enuff parts in the cab and bed to assemble another 1 also.I take them to local starter shop to have them both rebuilt and rewound to make them 12V , turns out there both already 12V and just need rebuilding.I get them back 2 weeks later bolt 1 on and it works BUT .......now my flywheel is so eat up it has spots where it wont spin for missing teeth. So where do I get a new flywheel and clutch ,might as well replace all while Im in there.

You can replace the ring on the flywheel. AB Linn had some for about $10 plus shipping. He also has clutch parts. Google "flywheel ring replacement" to find instructions on the ring gear. You heat the ring in an oven or freeze the flywheel. That creates enough expansion for the ring to slip on.

Here is a good site. http://www.mgaguru.com/mgtech/clutch/ft_101.htm
