Default New here with pics of my new to me M715

Here is my newest project! It's a 1968 with a 390 Ford V8. It's all original(except the engine) has no rust, and everything works on it. It's really pretty clean. I fell in love with this truck when I found it, and had to have it. My wife said to sell something and you can buy it! So I sold an old GMC statebed truck that I wasn't driving and bought this! And I came out $200 ahead

My plans for it are taking to the local car shows, using it in local parades in Big Bear, and driving around town, and hauling band equipment when I play gigs in Big Bear. I'll also use the PTO winch when I volunteer with the forest service on local adopt-a-trail work. I'm going to keep it mostly original, with a few aditions:
    1. Power steering and brakes!
    2. A custom aluminum fairlead and a custom 7/16" Winchline (Thor from Viking is making these for me)
    3. Detroit locker for the rear Dana 70
    4. Paint it back to Olive Drab with the big white stars(already started painting)

Lots of fun!!! I'm looking forward to being the keeper of this beast! Hope to also learn more about the history of this truck and in general about the M715's, I'm new to these trucks, but not Jeeps in general since I'm a partner in a Jeep shop. This is my new baby!!! I'm the fourth owner, I hear it came from auction in Arizona from the forest service or something.

I'll be hanging around alot here now!!!

Welcome to the madness! You have a great start there for sure. Mine was just a shell when I drug it home from 500 miles away....

Nice looking truck. Welcome aboard. I like the color it is. I think the military colors are very nice as well. I just lots of our trucks painted in the military colors. Sometimes it's nice to do something different. I think my favorite is Warwick's truck.
