Thread: All Mine

    Default All Mine

    Got it!!!!

I am now the proud owner of my own M715.

The Serno is 15816, delivered on 09/1967.

Currently has 29412 miles on the clock.

Pics will follow as time permits, but for now the description. It is mostly complete, but the wiring has been hacked up quite a bit. The body is pretty rough, but rust free. Tailgate will require a good bit of work, but I'm motivated about salvaging it. Rest of the body will require a lot of hammer and dolly work.

It was purchased from the GSA sometime in 2004, and has been in private ownership since then. Prior to that, it was being abused by the US Forest Service.

Got a fair deal. $650.00. Maybe a bit high for the condition it's in, but I wanted it.

Have a complete driveline that was put together for a '78 Honcho, but the truck is so nice, I hated to modify it. Been waiting for something more suitable to come along, and my patience finally paid off.

For the curious, the drivetrain includes a Cummins 4BTA, TH400, NP203/NP205 doubler, Ford HP Dana60, and a Dana70HD. Suspension will be 4-Link rear, and 3-Link front, full hydraulic steering, and 4 wheel discs. Hummer H1 beadlocks with 42" Iroc's all around.

Please keep us posted on your progress...

...with LOTS of pictures to detail the drivetrain/driveline swap.

ALWAYS good to see mods/upgrades that other M715s undergo!
