I have been very slack on taking pictures during this current restoration, hoping I can catch up and get back on track. Truck is a 1968 M715, had no engine or transmission when I got it, transfer and all else were there. I purchased a total of 4 trucks to end up with enough to build one, most all of the rest was sold. Here is the engine, I had the fuel pump rebuilt, water pump NOS, rebuilt the carb and replaced most of the gaskets, made new vent/fuel lines, new clutch/pressure plate/throw out bearing and a lot of cleaning and painting. She runs great and hopefully will be a strong long lasting engine. A lot more to post shortly.

Thank you for the positive comments. Transmission re-sealed, cleaned, painted and rebuilt the shift tower. Cab back sandblasted/primed, new shoes, lines, cylinders and waiting for drums to be turned. Windshield blasted/primed/painted, new glass, weatherstrip, bottom seal and wipers, just sitting on cowl for some bling.

New tires, this was by far my greatest expense so far, also very labor intensive, had to use the thumb on a back hoe bucket to dismount the old tires. Bottom of bed blasted/primed/painted, waiting for decent weather to finish. Dash panel with a few items installed, managed to protect and save the warranty decal. Seats finished and re covered, grill guard and instrument panel. I did more of a preserve on the instrument panel, re-painted the bezels and used Flitz polish to clean up the lenses.

Nice!
That is a spiffy valve cover. I wanted to do the same treatment with the lettering on mine, but I couldn't come up with a way to do it. |
