Thread: electrical ?

    Default electrical ?

O n the way home tonight I noticed that my fuel guage reads differently depending on whether my lights are on or off and when I use the heater fan it jumps straight to empty. The only thing I could come up with is maybe the ground for the sending unit isn't good enough. I will check it out tomorrow but wondered if anyone else had experienced this?

They are notorious for bad grounds...especially the fuel sending unit and the gauges...I would start there.

Since the batteries are fully charged and the alternater shows to be putting out enough the ground was where I was going to start but electrical has never been my strong point. Now if the rain will stop. Thanks
