Thread: The Big Cheese's Custom Exhaust System

Default The Big Cheese's Custom Exhaust System

I renamed the truck I got from Tom Lawlor (spicergear) "The Big Cheese" (formerly know as "Futura"). Tom did a lot of really nice custom work on this truck including putting in the military 6.2 diesel, mating a NV4500 to the diesel with a Lakewood bellhousing, swapping in a divorced 205, modifying a stock e-brake system to go on the 205, and a lot of other nice touches.

It has been requested that I post pictures of how he did some of this so here goes. The following pictures (it will take severl posts) show the custom dual exhaust system on the truck. There are a lot of bends in the pipes but the outcome is a really nice setup.

Note: The pictures start from the back and go forward to the engine.

Now things start to get interesting. Passenger side going beside the TC.

Default Going around the transfer case

Passenger side passing through the crossmember:

Driver's side going around the TC:

One last bend on the passenger's side before coming up to the exhasut manifold:

Up to meet the driver's side exhaust manifold:

Well, there you have it. Everything is nicely done and tucked up out od the way. Don't think I'll have to worry about hitting any of this when trail riding.

I'll post a couple of pictures on the divorced 205 e-brake system in a seperate thread. Between the two threads you should be able to se the transfer case mounts as well.

Those pictures will help me a great deal with the M725 that now has a 6.2 diesel. Thanks

Glad they help. Big Cheese is still running strong but I haven't put many miles on it this year. Still need to put shims in the front springs to cure the death wobble.
